1. Are Bogg Events kid-friendly?
Yes! We welcome youngsters of all ages to come out to our events. Depending on age, we will find the perfect job for them that will be easy, safe and fun. We ask that all kids below the age of 13 are accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.
2. What should I know/bring to prepare for Mobile Meals?
The only thing you need to bring is you! Most of our events last anywhere from 2-3 hours, Bogg will supply any tools required for your particular job. We would love it if you could show up 20 minutes before the start time of the event. Please note that most of our events are held outside regardless of weather conditions that day and we rarely cancel events! So please dress accordingly and be sure to bring water to stay hydrated.
3. What types of jobs are available at at a typical event?
Spring-Fall we have a wide range of jobs for you and your family! All volunteers are responsible for helping with set up/tear down. In addition, depending on your strengths and preferences, you can choose from one of the jobs below: (All jobs are subject to change based on the event needs) *=Child Friendly

4. All volunteer spots are full on the website… can I still come
Currently we cannot guarantee a job to every person if we exceed our allotted spots. If your particular location is full, we encourage you to sign up for a different date in order to get the full Bogg experience. There will always be a need for volunteers at a different location that month and we hope that you get a chance to check out all 10!
5. Will Bogg approve my community service hours?
Yes we do! No matter if you need service hours for school, work or a different organization, we gladly invite you to be a part of our team. We will sign off on your paperwork at the end of the event.
6. I can’t make it to Tuesday or Thursday events, how else can I help
Don’t worry!! We have plenty of opportunities for you to join the team outside of Mobile Meals. We will be glad to assist you if you would like to help in any of the following ways:
» Behind the Scenes – Find out what it takes to pull off our events every month. Email us to see if we can utilize you in our operations off the field.
» Make a Pledge – Bogg couldn’t exist without monthly donors like you. Sign up to donate a certain amount each month towards our cause.
» Become a Sponsor – We are always looking for businesses to partner with us to help better our city. If your company is looking to partner with a non-profit, Bogg would be glad to work with them.
» Spread the word – Take the time to follow all of our social media outlets to stay up-to-date with Bogg’s story. Share our posts and help promote us so we can continue to raise awareness and grow as an organization.

1.How do I receive food assistance?
If you are in need of food assistance you can come to any of our locations that are open to the public and we will provide you with food.
2. Do I need to bring identification?
If you are coming to one of our locations that is open to the public, you do not need any identification. Identification is only needed if you come to one of our locations that is open to residents of that location only.
3. When should I show up to receive food assistance?
No one is allowed to line up to receive food more than 30 minutes before we start serving. Anyone lining up more than 30 minutes before we start serving may not be allowed to receive food assistance.
4. How much food will I receive?
Our goal is to provide enough food to feed a family of 3, 3 meals a day, for 3 – 5 days.
5. What if I can’t make it to a pantry, but I need assistance.
If you need food, but can’t make it out, you can send someone else to pick up food on your behalf. They will need to bring a copy of your identification, a letter from you stating that you give them permission to pick up food for your family, and they will need the name, birthdate, and gender of everyone living in your household.
6. Am I able to pick up food for myself and a friend or family member?
If you need to pick up food for yourself and another family, you will need to go through the line for your family, then go to the end of the line and start the process over for the second family needing assistance. You will also need to bring a copy of the second families identification for the head of the household, a letter from them stating that they give you permission to pick up food for their family, and you will need the name, birthdate, and gender of everyone living in their household.
7. Am I able to volunteer and receive food assistance?
Yes. If you are in need of assistance and would also like to serve others needing assistance, you will need to sign up to volunteer on our website, then you will need to inform one of our staff members that you need food assistance AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE TO VOLUNTEER. You will need to stay for the entire event and our team will make sure that you receive the food you need.
8. Will the event still take place if the weather is bad?
Yes. All events take place regardless of weather. If the weather becomes too severe to safely serve our guests, we will try to wait it out in our vehicles for 20 minutes. If it does not let up, we will cancel the event. If the temperature drops below 35°, we will have all food pre-packed to get everyone served as quickly as possible.
9. Will I receive a hot meal at the pantry, or only groceries?
April – October we will have a block party, as well as groceries, at all of our pantries, weather permitting. This will include a cookout, drinks, music, and other activities. November – March we will only provide groceries.
