Time for a break?
Hello people of the internet. It’s been a while since I’ve taken or had the time to write. So, where do I start?
I guess I should tell you that on June 9th Jenny and I became husband and wife! We bought a home together in Centerville! After our wedding we headed to Blue Ridge, GA for a week in the Mountains, which was really sweet! Let’s just say the past two months have been very busy and a little stressful at times, but very good! All of this brings me to what I really want to talk about.
Sometimes in life we can find ourself filling up our time with good things. Things that are honoring to God and are key to investing and growing relationships in our jobs, ministries, families, and personal life’s. Most of the time we are truly trying to grow and share the kingdom! But, what happens when we forget about our own personal spiritual growth? What happens when we forget to spend time with our God?
I know for me I find myself doing the things that I know my heart tells me to do, but my heart doesn’t seem to feel anything. The motions feel right and work gets done, but where does that leave me and does God care if we go though these events emotionless?
I think He does or at lest most of the time. I believe there’s a time to use the tools we have been given and do what we know we have been lead to do. I also believe there’s a time when we need to stop doing what we feel like we have been lead to do and seek God to fill up our hearts, minds, and souls with the energy and passion He would like us to share with the community around us.
For the time being I’m filled up and ready share God’s love!
How about you?
